Hand-printed holiday cards: Reindeer Pup

Make your holiday greetings truly special with a unique, hand-printed  and hand-embellished piece of art. Choose from five animals found in the PNW: the Douglas Squirrel, House Finch, Steller's Jay, Barn Owl, and an incredibly sweet Oregon City-based dog (Trail Skipper's pup, Sadie). The cards are blank inside so that you can add your own personalized warm wishes. Envelopes included.

The prints were created by hand carving original designs into battleship gray linoleum. High quality, oil-based ink was applied to the surface, allowing the design to be transferred via printing press to deckled edge art paper. The paper was then affixed to 5x7 card stock using linen hinging tape. Finally, embellishments were added to each piece by hand using watercolor and/or acrylic paint, depending on the design.

Reindeer pup: black oil-based ink on handmade white paper, antlers embellished with acrylic polka-dots (red and gold, red and green, or green and gold dots - there's a variety).
