I’m Michelle Boercker, an artist deeply inspired by the natural world and the adventures it offers. Nestled in Oregon City, Oregon, my studio is a reflection of my passion for exploring the great outdoors and capturing its beauty through various mediums.
My Journey
Art has always been a part of my life, but my true artistic journey began rather late in my career after years of working in the fields of restoration ecology and (later) email analytics. No matter the job, the power of nature consistently evoked emotion and sparked creativity. After years of enjoying the outdoors "as I had time" I committed myself to pursuing art + the outdoors full time in 2023. Trail Skipper Studio continues to be a labor of love that represents my heart and values.
The Studio
At Trail Skipper Studio, I create pieces that celebrate the spirit of exploration and the beauty of nature. From relief prints to digital paintings to original wood designs, each piece tells a story inspired by my adventures. I strive to evoke a sense of wonder and connection, inviting viewers to share in the joy of discovery.
My Process
I believe that art is a journey in itself. I often begin with sketching and photography during my hikes, capturing fleeting moments that resonate with me. Back in the studio, I experiment with colors, textures, and techniques to bring those moments to life. My goal is to create art that not only feels like being outside, but also serves as an authentic glimpse into its wild inhabitants.
